My Cajun spice blend is mild to hot depending on my mood and how much cayenne pepper I want to add. Some days I like more spicy so some days just a touch. I make this one with my herb and spice essentials in my kitchen.
I use cajun spice on veggies, slow roasts and BBQs. This makes an awesome rub or seasoning instead of salt and pepper.
- Spice grinder
Use either whole or ground spices. Both will work but I prefer whole where I can and grind them fresh.
- Add any whole spices and the salt to your mortar and pestle or spcie grinder. Grind to a rough powder.
- Add any pre-ground spice and give a good mix in.
- Put this in a glass jar to use in a Cajun inspired creation.
