Both make good quality popcorn in just a fews minutes. Although the air-popper took about half the time and had less un-popped popcorn kernels.

Health Spiced Popcorn

Healthy spiced popcorn is absolutely one of the healthiest snack you can eat. There are several ways to make popcorn but they all start with the same ingredients.
We compared and air-popper to microwave popcorn. Both need no oil for popping and are very healthy. We found air-popping took half the time and popped more of the popcorn.
In the recipe I use the air-popper.

  • Air-popper
  • Microwave
  • large glass dish with lid



  • Put the popcorn into the air-popper with a bowl to catch the popped corn. Turn it on. Wait until the corn starts to pop. This takes about 1 minute. Allow all the corn to pop.
  • Tip the popped corn into a large plastic container with a lid then pour the oil over the popcorn an give a good shake in the container. Remove the lid and add the spices then replace the lid and give a good shake again.
  • Slowly tip the spices popcorn into a serving bowl being sure not to tip the un-popped corn into the bowl. Toss the un-popped corn away.
